Questions, answered
What is TruckerPro Finance?
It is the accounting side of the TruckerPro TMS. It invoices loads, tracks what you owe and what you are owed, settles with drivers and owner-operators, prepares IFTA reports and GST/HST worksheets, and on the Advanced plan runs Canadian payroll and a full general ledger.
Do I have to give up my accounting software?
No. On Plus and Advanced you can sync with QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage Business Cloud Accounting or Wave and keep the workflow your accountant knows. What syncs differs by provider, and the integrations page lists each one. Advanced also includes a general ledger if you would rather keep the books in TruckerPro.
Does TruckerPro move money for me?
No. You stay in control of your bank accounts. TruckerPro prepares invoices, pay statements, cheques and CPA-005 payment files, and you upload those files to your own Canadian bank. Card payments from your customers go to your own Stripe account.
Is it for Canadian or US trucking companies?
Both. Plans are billed in Canadian or US dollars. Canadian payroll, GST/HST worksheets and CPA-005 files are Canada-specific. US companies on Advanced get W-2 and 1099-NEC forms and a 1099 roster.
Is there a contract?
No long-term contract. Plans are billed monthly or yearly. You can cancel from your account at any time, and your plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for.
